In the third quarter of 2021, the performance of the top 5 business apps on the iOS platform in Nigeria showcased interesting trends. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads and active user metrics for these apps.

WhatsApp Business experienced a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting from around 11.8K and peaking at approximately 13K in the first week of September. The app also showed a steady increase in weekly active users, growing from 141.9K at the beginning of the quarter to nearly 158K by the end of September.

Zoom Workplace saw fluctuations in its weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from around 4.8K to a high of 8K in the week of August 23. The active user base demonstrated a slight increase overall, starting at 42.8K and ending at 42.4K, despite some mid-quarter dips.

Google Chat showed a significant spike in weekly downloads, particularly in July, where it reached a high of 6.3K. Downloads then stabilized around the 3K mark towards the end of the quarter. Active users for Google Chat also increased steadily, from 3.9K at the start of the quarter to 12.2K by the end of September.
